Okay, so Cybersecurity Skills: Your 2025 Training Plan. Right, lets think about this... 2025 is, like, right around the corner. (Where does the time go?). And cybersecurity? Well, thats just... everywhere now. You cant swing a cat without hitting some news story about a breach or ransomware or something equally terrifying. So, yeah, upskilling (or reskilling, maybe?) is probably a good idea.
If I were building a cybersecurity training plan for 2025, Id be focusing on a few key areas.
Then, Id definitely drill down into cloud security. Everythings moving to the cloud, or already is there, so understanding AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform security is crucial. That means learning about IAM (Identity and Access Management), data encryption, security configuration, and all that jazz. Its a lot, I know, but essential.
Another area thats just going to explode is AI and machine learning in cybersecurity.
And dont forget about the human element! Social engineering is still a massive problem, and people are still the weakest link in the chain. So, training on security awareness, phishing simulations, and things like that are still super important. You can have all the fancy technology in the world (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.), but if someone clicks on a dodgy link, then everything is pointless. (And honestly, weve all clicked on a dodgy link at some point, right?).
Finally, I think its important to stay flexible and adaptable. The cybersecurity landscape is constantly changing, new threats are emerging all the time, and the technology is evolving rapidly. So, continuous learning is key. Maybe include some budget for conferences, online courses, or certifications. (And lots of coffee...definitely need lots of coffee). So yeah, thats my plan.
