Can you get to Shell Island without a boat
After about an hour at Shell Island, we’ll take a leisurely sailing cruise out to the Gulf of Mexico to look for wild dolphins! (Please read dolphin disclaimer below). We always hope the conditions will line up just right and it’s pretty rare not to see dolphins, but the itinerary is based on the weather and conditions for your safety and enjoyment. The cruise back to the dock is a fun sailing party at Panama City Beach with upbeat music, games and dancing.
We’re known for our famous “Rum Punch”, but we also have a stocked bar with beer and wine, and all of our snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are just $2.00. Restrooms are available onboard. Join our experienced captain and crew for your Island Time sailing adventure in paradise.
Renting your own pontoon boat is a great way to enjoy a Shell Island beach day. Safe, stable, spacious, and easy to operate, a pontoon boat is ideal for a family or a group of friends looking for adventure on the water and the perfect way to visit Shell Island. You can cruise the clear blue waters of St. Andrew Bay and play on the sugar-white sands of Shell Island with your own private pleasure craft.
Beach bike rentals are available at the St. Andrews State Park Campground Camp Store. Ride around the campground loops and park roads as well as on the 2-mile paved bike trail that wanders through the park. It’s a great way to see deer and other park wildlife. The Park also features two short and easy hiking trails that give walkers a close look at native pine forest and coastal scrub habitats.
