Kingdom Love Foundation Impact International Inc.

Kingdom Love Foundation Impact International Inc.

KL Foundation Impact International is a humanitarian organization that works with poor communities in Liberia to address needs related to poverty, underdevelopment, and social injustice. Kingdom Love Foundation for Children Welfare and Development is now known as KL Foundation Impact International because its mission has been reshaped to address the needs of the larger community in Liberia.

George Z. Deemie founded the organization after being overwhelmed by the sight of death and extreme poverty among refugees returning to Liberia in the late 1990s during the first round of the Liberian Civil Unrest. In the late 1990s, George established relief efforts in a remote area of northern Liberia (Nimba County). Following that, he raised funds for the organization from USAID-LCIP, Africare, and UNDP Liberia.

George's compassion for humanity eventually led him and the KL Foundation team to take on the long-term task of improving the health and living conditions of the rural poor in northern Liberia. KLF Impact International is now incorporated and registered in the United States of America as a charitable organization focusing on women and children.

Delaware County Community Foundation

Delaware County Community Foundation

Delaware County Community Foundation

The Community Foundation has been in operation since 1986. We began as the Parent Corporation of Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. However, when Taylor Hospital was sold to the Crozer-Keystone Health System in 1997, our mission was fundamentally altered, and the Foundation began to function as an independent charitable entity.

We have been operating as a Community Foundation since 1997. Community foundations are public charities that make grants to improve the lives of people in a specific geographic area. Despite numerous name changes over the past two decades, our priorities have remained consistent: granting grants to local non-profits, awarding scholarships to deserving students, and connecting people who care with causes that matter.

Nobody on this planet should be deprived of basic necessities. Our children, in particular. Food, clean water, medication to combat diseases such as malaria and basic diarrhea treatments, education, toilet paper, and toothpaste are just a few examples of things that most of us take for granted on a daily basis.

As a single mother of three who immigrated to the United States when I was 17, I fought for a better life for my family. As fortunate as we have been, we did not arrive without assistance along the way. This is why I established the When In Need Foundation. To lend a helping hand to the world's most vulnerable and underserved people. Orphans, those in extreme poverty in my native Nigeria, and those in the cities that have allowed me to build the life I have here in the United States, Philadelphia and New York, in particular.

As we expand, we hope to attract people who are as committed to our cause as we are. As you browse our website, I hope you are inspired by our work, impact, and the actual people we have helped on the ground.
