Voortman's software features CAD for custom design, CAM to nest and CNC for automated operations. It is compatible with almost any profile or design and does not require an annual service contract.

Our factory-trained service tech will spend 5 days on the job installing your machine, calibrating and retraining your operators. This will allow for more hands-on operation as well as troubleshooting and diagnostic training.

FANUC has six axes. It can bevel 360°. The FANUC robotic arms can make quick work of any shape or profile. This versatility is complemented by the power and precision of HyperthermXDefinition plasma.

The basic unit is semi-automatic, with oxy-fuel coping machines. The operator positions and finetunes the workpiece before it is cut. The laser can also be set up automatically to auto-probe and adjust the torch height. The basic unit has powered conveyors. Before cutting, the operator must manually measure and mark X on the feedstock. The optional laser measuring of the feedstock can also be used as an automated measurement system. The interface allows the operator input the material type to which they want to cut. The operator navigates through a variety of options by using the touch screen to see pictorial representations. The computer program includes all dimensions of structural steel AISC. A fully dimensioned deal drawing is displayed to simplify programming, save time and reduce operator input errors. The operator has the ability to modify or override the input. It can also be saved as an additional program, if needed. DSTV exported drawings can also be used to pre-programme your machine. An operator can use the wireless remote control to operate, start, stop and manage the equipment. The wireless remote control allows the operator to easily view the equipment from any angle that is needed to verify and maintain accuracy. Operator marks the material, moves the material in the right position and clamps it hydraulically to ensure that the material is cut correctly. The laser operator aligns the laser to the mark, then begins the process. The torch lightens and pre-heats the material. The operator initiates and finishes the cutting process, as long as he maintains the correct torch height.

How do you increase the strength of a beam

“.. in the two and a half years we have had an Voortman, the efficiency and quality of the preparation procedures for our product has been drastically increased. Coping and weld prep of the past was very time consuming. Manually laying out and burning left a lot to be desired. With the Liberator, the burns are much cleaner, reducing grind time dramatically. The Liberator is a compact machine that delivers big results. All in all, Ocean has provided an opportunity to save time and energy, which equals out to saving money and our customers get a quality product.”

The PCR42 robotic plasma cutter does beam coping and notches, holes, and weld preps. It also splits beams and scribes as well as marks on all four sides of H-beams channels angles, HSS, plates, and H-beams.

Beam Coping Machine Details

Robotic Coping and Profiling can make your fabrication process more efficient. This system has been specifically designed for metalworkers and fabricators. It is able to work with angle lines, beam drilllines, hydraulic punches, ironworkers and band saws. This is a great way to improve your fabrication processes by taking them from zero to one hundred.

Voortman CNC Beam Coper is made for fabricators and general shops that deal with all types steel profiles. You can determine if this machine meets your needs by answering the following questions:

Voortman technicians can often work remotely from their computers to solve any problems you might have. Voortman technicians only need an internet connection to be able to use your control like he were there with you. Voortman equipment is equipped with a Powerful Windows (r)-based Siemens control, which allows for this capability. This platform also offers superior diagnostics.

For anyone who is curious about our Robotic Coping and Profiling machine's standards, we can confirm that it has passed all the critical fabrication tests. These include hardness, surface texture quality, beam flange welding access hole quality and bolt hole sizing, positioning, perpendicularity, and positioning. We have, as always, made available the Voortman CNC coping and profiling machines through our stocking. These machines are designed to exceptional standards just for you.

The ABCM-1250 CNC beam-coping machine can achieve miter and straight cutting at new heights. You can place the machine in line with any Voortman's automatic sawing system or separate beams in record-breaking time.

Voortman uses the Voortman's torch nozzle. The nozzle is specially engineered to last 3 - 6 month depending on how hot your machine runs. The torch nozzle is difficult to bend due to the head breakaway that deflects it. The heat of the gases through the nozzle eventually causes nozzles to become worn. Replacement torch tips are available for $75 per tip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coping is a process that allows a beam to fit into other parts of a framework.

Avoiding problems is one of the most popular unhealthy coping strategies. ... Too much sleep. ... Excessive use of drugs or alcohol. Impulsive spending. ... Eating too much or not enough.

In many types of structures, material strength is more important than weight. I-beams, which look like a capital "I", in cross-section, are often used in bridges and buildings. Although it is lighter and heavier than a regular beam, an I-beam is almost as strong and rigid.

A 10-foot I-beam of steel will cost $60-$180, while a 40 foot beam will cost between $240-$720.

Fret Saws are also known as Jeweler's Saws. They are smaller than Coping Saws. They have shorter blades and are designed for maneuverability and quick turns. They can be used for metal work and woodwork if the blade is right.
