Beam Coping Machine Jobs

We care about making fabrication tasks efficient and seamless. Our Robotic coping/profile beam can be used to cut angles, channels, square tubes as well as pipes, T Bars and plates. Because it is an efficient tooling platform, our Coping/Profiling Robot offers a multitude of functions for your profiles/pipe cuts. These outputs are H, I andT beams as well as U and/or L channels.

Multiple axis positioning allows top & bottom flanges of the same axis to be cut simultaneously. You can easily flange bevel in weld prep by using pivoting torches that are programmed to the miter position.

The Voortman beam coping machine is equipped with extended rigid and durable torch tips that enable accurate positioning inside flanges. In addition, the closed loop system allows the torch head to break away in the event that the torch head contacts an unexpected obstruction, such as slag build-up.

Voortman’s software includes CAD for custom designs, CAM for nesting, and CNC for automated operations. The software is compatible with nearly any design or profile and requires no annual service contract.

Voortman can cut your steel beams' copes faster than your layoutman can layout them. Similar to how the Voortman CNC Drill Line and Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. CNC Angle Line provided affordable automation of beams, angles and beams for small-to medium fabricators, so the Voortman also brings automated beam coping to shops that they otherwise wouldn't have considered.

The triple torch CNC beam cutting machines have multiple torch and three torch torches. Each torch has a dedicated web or flange. Although the positioning time is shorter with the triple torch machine then with the single torch, the single torch is able to do much more cuts than the existing triple torch models due to the flexibility of the 5-axis movement for the cutting head. The average cost of a triple torch machine is 3-4x that of our single torch CNC beam, coping machine.

Another problem is the fact that it is common for flames to blow back when cutting thicker pieces of a part.

METEOR-1200 will reduce your labor for drilling and on-site assembly. METEOR-1200 allows you to drill beams as well as angles, flatsheets and other appropriate geometry. State of the art control systems allow you to also mill slots, pocket and any geometry.

The single torch CNC beam coper eliminates the need to manually lay out your copes. It does this by transferring your CNC detail drawings directly from the CNC.

Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. can assure you that your Robotic Coping and Profiling system is the best in the industry. It uses high-definition plasma technology to cut through a variety of metal profiles, including structural steel and other metal parts.

AFD CNC Flange and Plate Drilling Machine can drill from 6 to 80mm, 1/4" to 3-1/8", within its own work area. Material is fixed to the table using hydraulic clamping jaws by driving it on balls. Material is positioned to the desired coordinates for drilling/marking/tapping by CNC program and then operation starts.

Although we prefer the machine to be installed indoors, there are several Voortman beam copier installations outside. The machine and control panel must have adequate weather protection. For photos of many of our outdoor installations, please contact us.

Voortman CNC Beam Coper's operation is simple. Most of our operators were floor layout men. You don't need any prior computer knowledge and are given full training at the time of installation.

Voortman CNC Beam Coper can be operated easily and is used mainly by men who are responsible for floor layout. It is not necessary to have any computer knowledge. Full training is given at the time the installation is completed.

Frequently Asked Questions

The blade is very thin so it works well with the pull. The steel frame's spring tension keeps the blade in place. This rigidity allows for the blade to move on both the upward and downward strokes, but it is only when the blade actually cuts that the blade cuts.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction.

What are some examples of coping strategies you might use? Avoidance, seeking support, drug and/or alcohol abuse, journaling and procrastination are all examples of coping strategies.
