The V808 features an 8-axis cutting machine that is agile and can process any width profile within its range. Voortman has also added two additional axes to six of the Panasonic robot's six, giving the machine an extremely wide reach. The machine can even be placed under the raw material. Voortman program the robot so it can maneuver in the best possible position. This improves cutting quality.

The Voortman V808 is the most versatile and market leading robotic thermal cutting machine with 8-axis for processing wide profiles with a operating width up to 1.250 mm (50"). The extreme flexibility of the robot combined with the machine structure enables the machine to cut every 3D shape possible and mark all four sides of your material. This system allows for enormous freedom to design and produce structures with the most complex connections and copes, but also a significant increase in production speed. Copes, bolt holes, slots, notches, bevels, weld preparation and layout marking - The Voortman V808 does it all!

With our top-of the line coping and profile robot, all of your 3D profiling and coping is easier. These Robotic Coping and Profile beams are reliable and can be used for cutting slots, chamlers, or saddles.

Rat holes, seismic connection (jay–allan or dog bone connections), copes in the lead and trail ends of a product. Block outs, holes of any shape or size, weld preps, markings on all four sides and much more. VoortmanV808 can work on all four sides using only one robot. It is the most versatile machine currently available. All profiles and cuts can be made without any programming required.

Voortman V807 is an automated 7-axis thermal profile cutting machine. This system can cut all four sides of materials with extraordinary speed and accuracy. This CNC coping tool can be used to process standard and wide flange beams.

CUTS ALL SHAPES AND LAYS MARKING ON ALL OUR SIDES.The V808 robotic shape processor is capable in processing almost any type of shape. This profile width may not be common in your production. The VoortmanV807 is our newest coping robotic. It can process profile widths upto 1.050mm (42") when necessary. You can heat process the V808's robotics thermally for rat holes or seismic structural design connections, such as slotted web or "dog bone" cuts.

Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. has the assurance that their Robotic Coping and Profiling systems are second to none. They have a high definition plasma technology system that can cut through a wide variety of metal profiles.

VACAM automatically chooses the most efficient route based upon the MSI, customer preferences and available machinery. MSI denotes the end of transportation raw profiles and semifinished products from machine-to-machine. MSI stands for one integrated manufacturing system. Voortman’s proprietary CNC control tool VACAM can be used to track and monitor any profile, product or future planning.

Coping is the most versatile process. A robotic plasma processor is capable of providing an all-in-one solution. With a plasma unit or robot, you can process any number of things: rat holes, seismic design connections such as jay-allan, "dog bone" cuts and copes at the product's trail end.

Dragon’s front position gate and chuck is easily adjustable, making the load and setup between different shapes and sized materials a breeze.

If part of your business plan includes saving production time, the AKD Angle Punching, Shearing & Marking Line is the answer you seek.

Together with you, the Voortman team designs the entire layout based on your current or expected production characteristics, such as type of profiles, product length, number of processes, hours in your work week and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

The strength tolerances of the C-beam are lower than those of the I-beam. This results in lighter components. Continue reading if you have never used C-beam profiles. Let us walk you through the basics to help you decide if it is right for you.

To increase your beam's bending capability, you will need to increase the second moment (I) if your beam design is controlled by yielding in bend (not lateral-torsional or plate buckling). This is usually done by attaching additional plates to your beam, often onto the flanges.

The blade is very thin so it works well with the pull. The steel frame's spring tension keeps the blade in place. This rigidity allows for the blade to move on both the upward and downward strokes, but it is only when the blade actually cuts that the blade cuts.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction.

Douglas fir is perhaps the strongest of all wood beams. Although there may be a stronger wood, I don't know of any. Lumber mills today make beams in the same way as plywood. To make extremely strong structural engineered timbers, they use layers of solid wood that have been glued together.
