CUTS ALL SHAPES AND LAYOUTS MARKING ON ALL 4 SIDES. The V808 robotic profil processor is capable to process nearly every shape in profile widths of up to 1.250 mm (50") The Voortman, our latest coping machine, often handles profiles with widths of up to 1.250 mm (50") in production. There are many thermally possible cuts that the V808's robot is capable of processing: rat holes and seismic structural connections (like slottedweb and "dogbone" cuts), copes at either end of a product, blockouts, holes in all shapes and sizes, weld preparations, marking on each side, and blocks outs.

The Voortman V808 robotic thermal cutting machine is equipped with the new faster and more accurate versatile Panasonic TL-1800G3 coping robot. The torch nozzle of the robot is fitted with a measuring sensor to measure the exact profile dimensions. During the cutting process the difference between actual and theoretical dimensions are automatically compensated in the machine parameters to ensure the most accurate product possible. To speed up the process even more, the coping robot only measuring the sides of the profile that will actually be processed.

AFD CNC Flange and Plate Drilling Machine can drill from 6 to 80mm, 1/4" to 3-1/8", within its own work area. Material is fixed to the table using hydraulic clamping jaws by driving it on balls. Material is positioned to the desired coordinates for drilling/marking/tapping by CNC program and then operation starts.

If you want to save time in your business, then the AKD Angle Punching, Shearing & Marking Line may be the answer.

With our top of-the-range profiling and coping robot, all of your 3D coping can be made much easier. These Robotic Coping and Profile beams are reliable and can be used for cutting slots, chamlers, or saddles.

FUTURE EXPANSION?The Voortman V808 is an ideal foundation for future growth capabilities. All Voortman machines, including the V808, operate with the same standard VACAM control software, which means that all machines talk the same 'language'. So when more capacity is needed as you grow your business, the V808 can easily combine with other Voortman machines in a fully automated and integrated production system, also referred to as Multi System Integration.

FAST PROFILE MESSURINGThe Voortman TL-1800G3 coping machine for robotic thermal cutting is equipped with the Panasonic TL-1800G3 coping device. The robot's torch nozzle has a measuring sensor that measures the exact dimensions of the profile. To achieve the best result, any deviation between the measured and theoretical dimensions of the profile are corrected during cutting. To save time, only the sides are measured by the coping robot.

The V808 Roller Feed Measurement and Clamping System locks profiles in precise positions and maintains alignment during processing. This fully automated measuring roller feeder system is the most efficient because it doesn't require a pusher/gripper to return home before loading next piece. It saves you hours every week. Voortman’s rolling feed system can operate fully automation within a standard profile processing range when Voortman’s automatic in-feed cross transports are used. With enough stability to position and support beams up to 15.000kg (33,000lbs), Voortman's roller feeder system can also be used with Voortman’s auto-feed cross transports.

6-axis Robot

The Voortman team will design the layout with you based on your production characteristics. This includes product length, type of profiles and number of processes.

Copping is the most versatile of all applications. A robotic plasma process is capable of offering an "all in one" solution. You can process all types of material with a plasma unit as well as a robot: block outs, rat holes, and seismic structural design connections like jay allan and "dogbone" cuts.

The Voortman V807, a 7-axis robotic thermal profile cutting system, can perform every step of the coping process in one pass, with the ability to reach all four sides of the material with exceptional speed and accuracy. This CNC coping machine is capable of processing wide flange and standard beams, including H-pile beams, square and rectangular tubes, angles, steel channels, and flats.

VACAM provides an easy-to-use and comprehensive interface for your operators that will enable you to produce consistent, efficient production. VACAM has a clear distinction between production, work preparation and machine operation. The data and functions required for each mode are at your fingertips. This makes it easy to accomplish tasks in the right setting. VACAM Control software is widely known for its clear, graphical representations of your production processes. VACAM allows you to see the whole process clearly, as well as production status. If needed, you can access online assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

The strength tolerances of the C-beam are lower than those of the I-beam. This results in lighter components. Continue reading if you have never used C-beam profiles. Let us walk you through the basics to help you decide if it is right for you.

To increase your beam's bending capability, you will need to increase the second moment (I) if your beam design is controlled by yielding in bend (not lateral-torsional or plate buckling). This is usually done by attaching additional plates to your beam, often onto the flanges.

The blade is very thin so it works well with the pull. The steel frame's spring tension keeps the blade in place. This rigidity allows for the blade to move on both the upward and downward strokes, but it is only when the blade actually cuts that the blade cuts.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction.

Douglas fir is perhaps the strongest of all wood beams. Although there may be a stronger wood, I don't know of any. Lumber mills today make beams in the same way as plywood. To make extremely strong structural engineered timbers, they use layers of solid wood that have been glued together.
