Another problem is the fact that it is common for flames to blow back when cutting thicker pieces of a part.

Voortman’s software includes CAD for custom designs, CAM for nesting, and CNC for automated operations. The software is compatible with nearly any design or profile and requires no annual service contract.

Voortman Technical Support Offices are available 24 hours a week and are always willing to help you with any question, no matter how simple, or complex.

The PCR41 plasma drilling machine was designed to combine as many fabrication functions into one machine as possible. The PCR41 can produce finished parts at very low manufacturing costs. The machine automates all common cutting operations and structural steel.

Voortman can cut your steel beams' copes faster than your layoutman can layout them. Similar to how the Voortman CNC Drill Line and Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. CNC Angle Line provided affordable automation of beams, angles and beams for small-to medium fabricators, so the Voortman also brings automated beam coping to shops that they otherwise wouldn't have considered.

Although we would prefer the machine to remain indoors, many Voortman beam coper installation are outside. However, the machine must be protected from the elements. To see photos from our many outside installations, please feel free to contact me.

We make 3D coping, profiling easy with our top-ofthe-range coping or profiling robot. These Robotic Coping/Profiling beams have a high level of reliability and are capable of cutting slots, chamlers and saddles.

This safety mechanism will ensure long tip and heads life and significantly increase uptime to avoid expensive torch tip replacements and repairs.

The hardened hydraulic jaws have a piston to help fix material and prevent any faults. AFD Flange and Plate Drilling Machines can drill, tab and mill, and mark with scribing and dot. (optional).

Plasma heads are very popular for cutting steel, due to the high quality and speed of the cuts. However, due to the size of the plasma cutting head it is not possible to get the head close enough to the flange, and many styles of copes typically required in beams are just not possible with plasma heads.

The ABCM-1250 CNC beam cutting machine features a triple torch design which allows simultaneous cutting of two different flanges. Flange thins on both the top and bottom end of the flanges are done simultaneously. This reduces operating expenses. The ABCM-1250 is an oxy-fuel coper that allows for easier near-flange cuts without lengthy torch probing.

Frequently Asked Questions

1- T beams have a greater second moment inertia than ordinary beams. This means they are more resistant to bending.

Maximum stress is found at the beam's surface farthest away from the neutral axis. This is known as "maximum surface stress", and it is usually represented by the sigma symbol.

Concrete beam concrete is one of the most popular types of beam material. Concrete beams can withstand high loads and strong forces. Concrete beams are used mainly in commercial construction. Concrete structural beams can also be used to support bridges and highways.

Douglas fir is perhaps the strongest of all wood beams. Although there may be a stronger wood, I don't know of any. Lumber mills today make beams in the same way as plywood. To make extremely strong structural engineered timbers, they use layers of solid wood that have been glued together.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction.
