Cnc Beam Coping Machine

The ABCM-1250 CNC beam-coping machine's triple torch design allows you to cut two flanges at once. Flange thins can be performed simultaneously on top and bottom flanges. Weld prep can also be done concurrently to keep operating costs low. The ABCM-1250 oxyfuel coper makes it possible to do more close flange cutting without the need for torch probing.

The PCR41 is a revolutionary design that combines robots, vision systems, and plasma torch tech to offer the best combination in speed, accuracy, and precision when cutting steel.

With Voortman, a profile of the cope can be uploaded to the CNC software from the built-in shape library or CAD. The user-friendly interface will then allow you to manually calibrate cutting tolerances, nest parts for coping, and track robotic cutting paths before the work begins so that any mistakes can be avoided. Then, the material simply needs to be loaded and the start button pressed for Voortman to begin coping with perfection.

Your operator will be able to use the PCR42 plasma cutting machine in less than a week. It is easy to use and very user-friendly. Mac-Tech is available to help if you ever have a question.

Voortman can improve your beam handling capabilities and help your business reach new heights.

".. In the two-and-a half years that we have had a Voortman, both the efficiency and the quality of our product preparation has been greatly improved. The past process of weld preparation and handling was time-consuming. Manually burning and laying out the material left much to be desired. The Liberator makes it much easier to burn, and reduces grind time. The Liberator is small and compact, but it delivers great results. Ocean has allowed us to save both time and energy. This allows us to make more money, and also ensures that our customers receive a high-quality product.

AFD CNC Flange and Plate Drilling Machines are capable of drilling from 6 to 80mm and up to 1/4" to 3-1/8". Material is driven onto the table with balls, and then fixed with hydraulic clamping Jaws. Material is positioned to the desired coordinates for drilling/marking/tapping by CNC program and then operation starts.

The PCR42 robotic plasma-cutting machine can do beam coping, notches and holes, weld preps and split beams. Additionally, it can scribe plus marks on all four faces H-beams.

Voortman can import DXF file and can use them for processing 3-D shapes, provided that the steel is detailed according specific rules. These rules may not be applicable to your current detailing and may require some adjustments. This process is not as smooth as the 3-D modeling software.

Coping Beams

The main reason is cost. A plasma-cutting process can produce a high level of carcinogenic dust. This dust must be captured in an extraction filtering system. This and the cost to completely cover the machine to evacuate it raise the price significantly beyond what an average fabricator is willing to pay to get a beam coping solution.

The high quality and speed of plasma cutting heads make them very popular for cutting stainless steel. Plasma heads can't be moved close enough to the flange due to their size. This makes it impossible to use many types of copes normally required in beams.

Because you might get a request from a customer for a couple of pieces, you will need to train your operator in Peddimat.

The detailer will then send you a DWG, PLT, or PDF file to use for printing or plotting your drawings. You will also receive the NC1 or NC2 files from your detailer that you can import directly into you machine. Standard on the Voortman is the DSTV-Import feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

H-Beams. H-beams are one of the strongest steel beams. It is composed of horizontal elements and the web by vertical beams. Popular in civil engineering and construction, the web and flanges create a cross section that is similar to the shape of the letter H.

When you are assembling a coping-saw, ensure that the teeth point towards the handle. The teeth will cut if you pull the saw rather than pushing it. This will improve accuracy and prevent your saw from breaking. It will also keep your wood from chipping.

Fret Saws are also known as Jeweler's Saws. They are smaller than Coping Saws. They have shorter blades and are designed for maneuverability and quick turns. They can be used for metal work and woodwork if the blade is right.

As can be seen, shear stresses change quadratically with distance y1 from neutral axis. The neutral axis is the point where shear stress is maximal. It is also zero at the beam's top and bottom surfaces.

Coping saws, hand saws that have a distinctive U-shaped shape, are used to make curved cuts in thinner materials at home or in the shop.
